What will be your responsibilities?
Architectural Design & Documentation
- Lead the design and development of data centre and architectural projects from concept through construction completion.
- Develop site planning, building massing, and spatial layouts that optimize operational efficiency, cooling strategies, maintenance access, and overall functionality.
- Prepare, review, and oversee architectural drawings, specifications, design presentations, construction documentation, and permit submissions.
- Prepare and present feasibility studies, design proposals, and technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Drive the adoption of sustainable, innovative, and industry-leading design practices.
- Coordinate and integrate architectural designs with MEP, structural, civil, and fire protection systems to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to define project objectives and deliver successful outcomes.
- Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and key milestones while maintaining design quality and technical excellence.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, safety requirements, and data centre industry standards, including UBBL, BOMBA, NFPA, FM Global, and Uptime Institute Tier requirements.
- Conduct site visits and provide architectural support during construction to ensure design intent is properly executed.
- Mentor, supervise, and provide technical guidance to junior architects and designers.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in architecture and data centre design.
This is the profile we are looking for
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (ARB/RIBA accredited or equivalent international qualification).
- Part III qualification or full professional registration (ARB, RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is preferred; candidates working towards registration are welcome to apply.
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design, with exposure to data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial facility projects.
- Candidates must come from a consultancy background; prior experience working within an architectural or engineering design consultancy is mandatory.
- Strong project leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering complex architectural projects.
- Experience producing detailed design and construction documentation within a BIM environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit/BIM and AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of building codes, planning regulations, fire safety requirements, and technical design standards.
- Familiarity with data centre design standards and guidelines, including Uptime Institute Tier requirements and EN 50600, is an advantage.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is a mandatory requirement.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborative team player with experience working in multidisciplinary project environments.
